We're running into a limitation with Skilljar's certification settings and would love to hear how others have addressed this with their own certifications.!-->
Our situation:
- Learners get 2 attempts at our certification before they have to repurchase the certification for another (2) tries at passing them exam.
- We want to give them 90 days to access the content and complete their attempts
- If they fail both attempts, we want them to wait only 30 days before they can re-purchase
The problem:
Our CSM confirmed that Skilljar ties enrollment expiration and re-purchase wait time to the same setting, which means we can't separate them. This means:
- If we set it to 90 days → learners wait 90 days to re-buy (too long)
- If we set it to 30 days → learners only have 30 days to access content (too short)
Our question:
How are you handling this in your certification programs? Have you found a workaround or a different approach that balances reasonable access time with a shorter re-purchase wait period?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
